violent clashes in the eastern countryside of Homs and heavy shelling on al-Sukhnah and the regime forces target Douma
Homs province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: violent clashes are taking place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the “Islamic State” organization in Jbab Hamad area and several other areas in the eastern countryside of Homs, and information about more human losses in the ranks of both parties, amid confirmed information about and advance by the regime forces in several points and positions, and the clashes are accompanied by heavy shelling of the regime forces on areas in the vicinity of al-Sukhnah town, and al-Tibah town in the eastern countryside of Homs.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that since day before yesterday the 4th of July 2017 the Observatory documented at least 22 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them from Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities who were killed, including 9 members from the Syrian nationality, one of them is a brigadier in the republican guards of the regime, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented at least 35 of the “Islamic State” organization who were killed in heavy aerial and ground bombing, and during the clashes, in which the regime forces managed yesterday to reach 15 km from al-Sukhnah city advancing from Palmyra side, while 3 citizens were killing in bombing by warplanes on areas in Sukhnah town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: two shells fell on areas in the outskirts of Douma city in the Eastern Ghouta, and no information about causalities.
