Clashes continue violently north of Homs – Palmyra road and the regime forces restore a village in the area

Homs province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the violent clashes continue between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the “Islamic State” organization in areas in the vicinity of Jbab Hamad north of Palmyra – Homs Road, in an attempt by the regime forces to secure the road even more and decrease the size of areas controlled by the “Islamic State” organization in the area, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces took control of the Jbab Hamad village, while the clashes were accompanied by an exchange of shelling between both parties, no information about casualties yet, also clashes continue between both parties on the road of Palmyra – Sukhnah and in the vicinity of Hmimeh area in Palmyra Desert, after regime’s continued attempts to advance in more areas and attempts by the organization to restore what it has lost.
