The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights

After fleeing of leaderships weeks ago… More administrators of the “Islamic State” organization flee from its controlled areas in the countryside of Deir Ezzor

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from several reliable sources that a Moroccan member of “Zakat Diwan of al-Khair State” has fled with his family from Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, to the outside of the “Islamic State” organization’s controlled areas, where the activists of the Syrian Observatory have monitored members of the Security Office of the organization raiding the house where he lived on 40th Street in Al-Mayadeen city, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights had documented 6 days ago the escape of the former notary of the Court of the “Islamic State” organization with his family from Al-Mayadeen city to areas outside the control of the organization, weeks after he was arrested and dismissed from being Khatib at al-Hassan Mosque, of which he made a Khutbah talking about “the causes of the defeat of the Islamic State and comparison between the actions of the State’s members”

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 18th of June 2017 that 3 leaders of Moroccan and Syrian nationalities managed to escape from areas controlled by the “Islamic State” organization and head towards other areas, reliable sources confirmed to the Observatory  that 2 of the leaders were working in the office of “Calling for Islam and al-Hisba”, in addition to a military leader in the ranks of the organization, where the western countryside of Deir Ezzor witnessed a state of alert by the security members of the” Islamic State” organization, who started looking for them and raided and searched houses of people close to them, and reliable sources suggested to the Syrian Observatory that these leaders may have headed towards the Syrian north.

It is noted that many similar cases have happened earlier, where members of the “Islamic State” organization and the leaders have fled towards areas controlled by the regime forces, or towards areas in the Syrian north and then to the Turkish territory, and the Observatory documented on October 2016 the arrest of the security offices of the “Islamic State” organization for 9 of its members in al-Idikhar Housing area in Al-Raqqah city, and the sources confirmed back then to the Observatory that the Organization arrested the nine members and among them is the official of Zakat of al-Karama area in the eastern countryside of Al-Raqqah who is an Egyptian national, while the rest of members are from the provinces of Al-Raqqah, Deir Ezzor, Aleppo and Homs, and they were arrested on charges of “coordination to escape to Turkey”.
