Clashes continue violently between the Desert factions against the regime forces at the administrative borders between Rif Dimashq and the countryside of Al-Suwaidaa

Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the regime forces shelled after midnight areas in Jesrin town in the Eastern Ghouta, causing material damages with no casualties reported. The regime forces also shelled areas in Bayt Jen Farm in the southwestern part of Rif Dimashq while opening fire on areas at the Farm with heavy machine-guns. Likewise, no casualties were reported. Meanwhile, violent clashes have been taking place since after midnight until now between Ahmad Al-Abdu Forces and Jaysh Usud Al-Sharqiyyah on one hand and the regime forces and their allied militiamen on the other, in areas in the southeastern part of Rif Dimashq at the administrative borders with Al-Suwaidaa Province. The SOHR published yesterday that clashes continued between the regime forces and their allied militiamen, of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, on one hand and the rebel factions, namely Jaysh Usud Al-Sharqiyyah and Ahmad Al-Abdu Forces, on the other in areas in the Syrian dessert. Clashes were centered in areas in the northern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa and the southeastern part of Rif Dimashq, which are adjacent to each other. Clashes, that have broken out since Monday, the 10th of July, were accompanied by an intensive violent shelling by the regime forces on areas of clashes and shelling by the factions on the regime-controlled areas and positions. More casualties were reported at both sides.

The SOHR published the day before yesterday that the factions managed to hit a warplane in the skies of the southeastern part of Rif Dimashq. Reliable sources confirmed to the SOHR that the warplane that was hit by the fighters of Jaysh Usud Al-Sharqiyyah headed towards Al-Sein Military Airport, located in the eastern Qalamoun in Rif Dimashq. Reliable sources also confirmed that the warplane managed to land in Al-Sein Airport, despite being hit, without crashing.
