Calm prevails Daraa on the 17th day of Syrian south truce

Daraa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: a commander of a rebel Brigade was killed in the detonated of an explosive device in a car he was travelling in on the road pf Zamreen – Um al-Awsaj road in the northwestern countryside of Daraa, while a fighter was shot dead by mistake at his headquarters is Inkhel, while unidentified gunmen attempted to assassinate a person in Inkhel city, by shooting him in front of his house in the northern countryside of Daraa, but no injuries were reported, also the calm prevails Daraa province and the areas of the Russian – American agreement as well as in Al-Quneitra and al-Suwaidaa, where the Syrian Observatory did not document any breaches during the 17th day of the truce.
While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented on Tuesday morning new violations as shells dropped after midnight on places in the regime controlled Al-Sahari area in Daraa city. No casualties were reported. In addition, the SOHR documented clashes that broke out after midnight between the regime forces and their allied militiamen on one hand and the Islamic and rebel factions on the other in the eastern Al-Hamriya area at the outskirts of Hodr town in the northern sector of Al-Quneitra countryside. Casualties were reported at both sides, including a captain at the regime forces in Al-Quneitra countryside.

Also the Syrian Observatory published yesterday that the Russian forces that arrived at Smad area in the eastern countryside of Daraa, Daraa city and the northern countryside of Quneitra haven’t set up any checkpoints yet, but have been preparing for getting deployed to the contact lines and for the establishment of checkpoints to monitor the application of the ceasefire and the next steps related to the Russian – American – Jordanian agreement. Reliable sources also confirmed that the Russian Forces that arrived at the outskirts of the Eastern Ghouta have not yet set up any checkpoints nor have they been deployed to the contact lines there. The SOHR published the day before yesterday that it learned from reliable sources that it is expected to deploy Russian military police forces to the contact lines between the factions operating in the Eastern Ghouta and the regime forces and their allied militiamen, in order to ensure full observance of the ceasefire. Meanwhile, sources confirmed that most of the Russian soldiers deployed are Russian Muslims who were brought successively by the Russian forces earlier.
