Tens of members of the 4th Division withdraw from Daraa city with the continuation of the Russian-American-Jordanian truce in Syrian south

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from several reliable sources about the withdrawal of members of the regime forces from Daraa city, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory: the tens of members of the 4th Division who came as reinforcements brought by the regime forces during the recent clashes in Daraa city, have withdrawn during the last hours out of their positions in Daraa city, which is witnessing a truce with the provinces of Al-Suwaidaa and Quneitra, while the Syrian south truce continues since the Russian-American-Jordanian agreement on the 9th of July 2017, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented shelling by the regime forces on positions and sites in Tal Hamriya area in the northern the countryside of Quneitra, but no information about casualties yet, while an explosion was heard in Daraa al-Balad, but the information was conflicted between detonating a house by the regime forces and the fall of a shell on the contact lines between the regime forces and the factions in Daraa city

Yesterday, the Syrian Observatory documented a breach in the countryside of Quneitra which was shelling by the regime forces on areas in the village of al-Ajraf in the countryside of Quneitra, no information about casualties, while clashes took place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic factions in areas in the vicinity of Al-al-Ajraf, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of woman affected by injury she had after targeting al-Kashef neighborhood which is controlled by the regime forces in Daraa al-Mahatta in Daraa city, she is the first casualty documented since the start of the truce in the Syrian south.

The Observatory published days ago that the Russian forces that arrived in Smad area in the eastern countryside of Daraa, Daraa city and the northern countryside of Quneitra countryside haven’t set up checkpoints yet, but they prepare for deployment on the contact lines and establishment of checkpoints to monitor the application of the ceasefire and the following steps related to the Russian – American – Jordanian agreement, and reliable sources also confirmed that the Russian forces arriving at the outskirts of the Eastern Ghouta, haven’t also set any of their checkpoints and haven’t been deployed on the contact lines in the Eastern Ghouta after they arrived to the area, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from reliable sources that it is expected to deploy Russian military police forces to the contact lines between the factions operating in the Eastern Ghouta and the regime forces and their allied militiamen, in order to ensure full observance of the ceasefire. Meanwhile, sources confirmed that most of the Russian soldiers deployed are Russian Muslims who were brought successively by the Russian forces earlier.
