Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Right: the SOHR learned that warplanes shelled areas in the vicinity of Panorama roundabout and Brigade 137 south and west of Deir Ezzor city. Meanwhile, warplanes, believed to be affiliated with the International Coalition, targeted with their heavy machine-guns the oil burners area in the deserts of Darnaj and Al-Tayyaneh in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. Likewise, no casualties were reported.

In the same context, warplanes, whether Russian or affiliated with the International Coalition is unknown, shelled this morning, the 29th of July 2017, places in the area extending from the public road to Al-Mayadin Garage, leaving several people injured. The city and its eastern stretch and the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor have been witnessing an escalated shelling for the past few days by warplanes. The SOHR published yesterday that 3 female citizens and a boy died of injuries sustained in shelling by warplanes, whether Russian or affiliated with the International Coalition is unknown, on places in Al-Tayba area located at the eastern stretch of Al-Mayadin city. The SOHR also published that warplanes, whether Russian or affiliated with the International Coalition is unknown, carried out raids that targeted an ISIS car leaving two ISIS fighters dead. Whereas, another raid targeted an ISIS checkpoint in Gharanij town, leaving 5 ISIS members dead. The SOHR also documented the death of at least 4 ISIS members in targeting of an ISIS position as part of the raids that targeted Al-Mayadin city yesterday morning, the 28th of July 2017, in addition to the death of a civilian prisoner held by ISIS and the injury of others, with varied degrees of severity. Thus, the number of ISIS members that lost their lives yesterday and the day before yesterday in raids that targeted  al-Bukamal, Gharanij, Al-Mayadin,  al-Buhamam in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, rose to 13 at least. Meanwhile, warplanes, whether Russian or affiliated with the International Coalition is unknown, perpetrated a massacre leaving 14 martyrs at least, including 5 children below the age of 18 and 4 women above the age of 18 as they carried out raids that targeted Al-Tayba area in the eastern stretch of Al-Mayadin city. The SOHR had also observed an exchange of roles between the International Coalition and the Russians during the last week. Specifically, the forces of International Coalition have halted their raids on the eastern countryside of Al-Raqqah and parts of the northwestern countryside of Deir Ezzor, handing the task over to the Russian warplanes which have carried out tens of air raids targeting villages under the control the “Islamic State” organization in the southern bank of the Euphrates, which extend from the east of Hwijat Shnan until the border with Deir Ezzor, since the 18th of July 2017. These raids have caused a massive displacement of tens of civilian families, who were forced to flee because of the intensity of the bombing and the constant destruction that inflicts on the area, under the pretext of “fighting the Islamic State organization”.
