Regime forces retry restoring control of what they have lost in the violent attack of the “Islamic State” in the countryside of Homs and Hama

Violent clashes are still taking place between the regime forces and their allied militiamen of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalists against the “Islamic State” organization in areas on the contact lines extending from the mountains of al-Shomariyyeh in the eastern countryside of Homs to the eastern countryside of al-Salamiyah, following the violent attack carried out by the organization on Wednesday morning in the 2nd August of 2017, amid heavy shelling by the regime forces and the heavy air raids of warplanes on the organization-held area and the clash area. while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces launched a repel attack in the area, after losing number of points and positions which they lost yesterday morning, and the regime forces managed to restore control over at least a point and there is information about restoring a second one, while the clash is still continuing in an attempt to restore control over all the points the regime lost. The warplanes also continue airstrikes on the clash area, amid an exchange of shelling between both parties, causing casualties in both sides.
