Violent clashes are accompanied with shelling of at least 48 missiles and tens of shells on the Eastern Ghouta and the east of Damascus
The shelling of the regime forces with missiles and shells are still ongoing on the eastern outskirts of Damascus and its Ghouta, along with the continued clashes in the area. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces shelled an area in the town of Kafarbatna in the Eastern Ghouta, causing material damage, and there is no information about human losses so far, while the regime forces shelled more ground-to-ground missiles on areas in Ein Tarma town in the Eastern Ghouta, rising to at least 48, the number of missiles launched by them since today’s morning on both areas, amid continued and violent clashes taking place between the regime forces and their allied militiamen against al-Rahman Corps in Ein Tarma and Jouber neighborhood, following a new attack launched by the regime forces in an attempt to advance in the area and control more areas and reduce the areas controlled by the factions.
It is worth mentioning that areas in the outskirts of Ein Tarma town were shelled by the regime forces on Saturday, in conjunction with the shelling on areas in Juber neighborhood, where the regime forces shelled both areas with 10 missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, rising to at leat 50, the number of missiles that targeted both areas on Friday the 11th of August 2017. The Syrian Observatory also published yesterday that within the ongoing targeting on the Eastern Ghouta, the regime forces and their allied militiamen continue their targeting on areas in the Eastern Ghouta and the east of the capital, where they targeted with 2 shells areas in Douma city, causing material damage, and the regime forces shelled an area in Hamouriya city, leaving an injured child. The regime forces targeted with a shell an area in Sakba city, injuring 3 persons including a child, while the regime forces targeted the town of Kafarbatna with 3 artillery shells, leaving 4 injured, while they targeted an area in al-Ash’ashary farms. The activists of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented that the regime forces targeted the outskirts of Ein Tarma, and the outskirts of Juber neighborhood by about 40 missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, in conjunction with their shelling with more than 20 artillery and missiles shells, and there is no information about casualties so far.
