Anticipation of carrying out a new truce agreement in the Eastern Ghouta after an agreement reached between the Russians and al-Rahman Corps
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that a new ceasefire is expected to be implemented as of today the 18th of August 2017 at 9:00 pm in the Eastern Ghouta that will include areas controlled by al-Rahman Corps, which carry out daily clashes against the regime forces in areas in the vicinity of Ein Tarma city and Jobar neighborhood and the vicinity of al-Motahalleq AlJanobi (the southern bypass) since the beginning of the implementation of the truce in the Eastern Ghouta, which was agreed upon by the Russians and Jaysh al-Islam on the 22nd of July 2017, under which the humanitarian aid enter and the siege of the Eastern Ghouta is broken by the regime forces and their allied militiamen, after the full commitment of each party to the truce agreement signed by representatives of the Russians and al-Rahman Corps.
The implementation of this ceasefire is accompanied by a calm that has prevailing for hours in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and the fronts on its western outskirts between the regime forces and al-Rahman Corps and Jobar neighborhood east of the capital, after a violent shelling in the morning with more than 30 missiles believed to be ground-to-ground that targeted Ein Tarma and Jobar neighborhood, and the shelling was accompanied by the fall of 2 shells on areas in the outskirts of Zamlka city.
