Russian warplanes target an ISIS convoy in Deir Ezzor western dessert leaving more than 70 ISIS members dead

Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the SOHR learned that at least 70 ISIS members were killed when their convoy was targeted by warplanes in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor. Specifically, the SOHR learned from several reliable sources that Russian warplanes targeted on Friday, the 18th of August 2017, an ISIS convoy, which consisted of 20 vehicles, while traveling between their fronts in Deir Ezzor western dessert, Deir Ezzor countryside and the eastern countryside of Al-Raqqah. The intensive airstrikes left others injured, with varied degrees of severity, and destroyed most of the vehicles.

It is worth mentioning that the Russian warplanes have been escalating their shelling on the countryside of Deir Ezzor Province, especially its western part, since the regime forces managed to enter the Province through the eastern countryside of Al-Raqqah few days ago. Such warplanes continue to shell ISIS-controlled villages and areas there on a daily-basis, causing the fall of dead and injured.
