Renewed air strikes by warplanes accompanied by continuous fighting on the southern banks of the Euphrates River

Al-Raqqah Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that warplanes carried out more raids during the past 24 hours on areas controlled by ISIS, on the southern banks of the Euphrates River, in the eastern countryside of Al-Raqqah city, amid the continuation of violent clashes between regime forces supported by gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities and Russian trained-and-armed clan forces on one hand, and members of the organization on the other, in areas east of Ghanim al-Ali town, in an attempt by each party, to achieve advancement at the expense of the other, the clashes are accompanied by shelling by regime forces on the clash areas.

It worth mentioning that Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on Sunday that the Russian warplanes as well as regime’s warplanes carried out dozens of strikes during the past 24 hours on the areas which are located on the southern banks of the Euphrates River, and which extend between Ghanim Al-Ali town and Madan city, controlled by ISIS after the latest managed to regain control of the area few days ago, SOHR learned that the strikes are accompanied by violent clashes that are taking place since the dawn of today between regime forces and gunmen loyal to them and the Russian trained-and-armed clan forces on one hand, and the members of ISIS on the other, where violent clashes took place east of Ghanim Al-Ali town, accompanied by exploding booby trapped vehicles and explosive belts by the organization, which targeted positions of regime forces, in an attempt to achieve more advancement in the area, and confirmed information about casualties in the ranks of the both parties.
