The regime forces interrupt the calm prevailing Damascus and the Eastern Ghouta with several missiles

The SOHR learned that the regime forces interrupted the calm prevailing Damascus and the Eastern Ghouta by targeting areas there. The SOHR documented the launch of four missiles, believed to be ground-to-ground, by the regime forces on areas in Jobar neighborhood at the outskirts of Damascus and two more missiles on areas in Ein Tarma town and its surroundings, causing material damages only. No casualties were reported.

The SOHR published last night that the Eastern Ghouta and the eastern outskirts of Damascus were witnessing a prevailing calm in terms of shelling by the regime forces and the fighting between the regime forces and their allied militiamen on one hand and Al-Rahman Corps on the other at their contact lines. The SOHR also published yesterday morning that the regime forces shelled areas in Al-Zorayqa town in the Eastern Ghouta, causing material damages only. The regime forces also escalated their shelling after midnight yesterday on places in Jobar neighborhood, located at the eastern outskirts of Damascus and on other areas in Ein Tarma town and its surroundings in the Eastern Ghouta. The SOHR learned that the regime forces targeted both areas with about 20 missiles, believed to be ground-to-ground, causing material damages only. In addition, the SOHR published last night that the regime forces fired a missile, believed to be ground-to-ground, on an area at the outskirts of Jobar neighborhood. Likewise, no casualties have been reported so far. Such shelling came after the calm that has been prevailing east of Damascus and the Eastern Ghouta since the afternoon of Wednesday, the 23rd of August 2017, specifically at the fighting fronts between the regime forces and their allied militiamen on one hand and Al-Rahman Corps on the other and in the cities and towns of the Eastern Ghouta and Damascus outskirts.
