The regime forces kill 3 children from one family at the outskirts of the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that more people were killed in the renewed shelling of the regime forces on the outskirts of the Eastern Ghouta, where it rose to 3 from one family, the number of children who were killed, including two brothers, as a result of the shelling of the regime forces on areas in the town of Ein Tarma in the Eastern Ghouta today’s morning, while the areas in the outskirts of Joubar neighborhood were shelled by the regime forces with 8 missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, and the shelling was followed by another shelling of 5 missiles on areas in the neighborhood, amid sporadic clashes between the regime forces backed by their allied militiamen against al-Rahman Corps in areas in the vicinity of al-Motahleq al-Janoubi (Southern Bybass).

This renewed shelling by the regime comes after the calm that prevailed the outskirts of the Capital Damascus and its Eastern Ghouta, since yesterday’s midnight, after the regime forces targeted Ein Tarma with 21 missiles believed to be ground-to-ground.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday Sunday that it learned from several reliable sources that about 15 fighters of al-Rahman Corps suffered suffocation due to the shelling of the regime force on areas in the outskirts of Ein Tarma city in the western outskirts of the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and medical sources in the Eastern Ghouta asserted that the suffocation are caused by the dust of the shelling, and the regime forces shelled areas in the outskirts of Zamalka city which is controlled by al-Rahman Corps, and no information about human losses, while the clashes are ongoing with less violent pace between the regime forces and their allied militiamen against al-Rahman Corps.

The SOHR published hours ago that after one week of sporadic of shelling by the regime forces with mortar, tanks, and artillery shelling and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground targeted the east of Damascus and its Eastern Ghouta, and the calm which was interrupted the violations through targeting the cities and the towns of the Eastern Ghouta and areas in Jobar neighborhood, and the exchange of fire on the clash areas between the regime forces and al-Rahman Corps, the regime forces resumed on Sunday the 27th of August 2017 the heavy targeting on the outskirts of the capital and the Ghouta, as the regime forces targeted with 15 missiles believed to be ground-to-ground these areas, and the targeting was accompanied by clashes, the most violent in a week between the regime forces backed by their allied militiamen against al-Rahman Corps in areas of al-Motahalleq AlJanobi (the southern bypass) from the side of Ein Tarma.

It worth mentioning that although the truce was expected to start at 9:00 pm on Friday the 18th of August 2017, the Eastern Ghouta and after the calm that it witnessed on its fronts and contact lines between Rahman Corps and the regime forces, in the eastern outskirts of Damascus and its Eastern Ghouta, it witnessed the start of shelling by the regime forces since after the date of the start of the ceasefire agreement and until now, where the activists of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights have monitored shelling by the regime forces on areas in Jobar neighborhood with 5 artillery shells and launching 15 missiles believed to be ground-to-ground by the regime forces on places in the area between Jobar and Ein Tarma, accompanied by sporadic clashes between Rahman Corps against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in al-Manasher area in Jobar neighbourhood, while the regime forces shelled areas in KafrBatna town causing the break out of fire in some homes and injuring people.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on Friday that a new ceasefire is expected to be implemented as of today the 18th of August 2017 at 9:00 pm in the Eastern Ghouta that will include areas controlled by al-Rahman Corps, which carry out daily clashes against the regime forces in areas in the vicinity of Ein Tarma city and Jobar neighborhood and the vicinity of al-Motahalleq AlJanobi (the southern bypass) since the beginning of the implementation of the truce in the Eastern Ghouta, which was agreed upon by the Russians and Jaysh al-Islam on the 22nd of July 2017, under which the humanitarian aid enter and the siege of the Eastern Ghouta is broken by the regime forces and their allied militiamen, after the full commitment of each party to the truce agreement signed by representatives of the Russians and al-Rahman Corps, provided that a passage to be granted to Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham fighters and their families towards Idlib.
