Shelling targets Azaz city by the SDF leaving casualties and wounded
Aleppo Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that rocket shells fell on areas in Azaz city, which is controlled by the factions and which is near the Syrian-Turkish border, fired by the Syria Democratic Forces, which resulted in the death of a child and the injury of others, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published the night before yesterday that Afrin city and its outskirts witnessed shelling yesterday the 29th of August 2017, by the Turkish forces by a number of shells which fell on the outskirts of the city and its outskirts, which are controlled by the YPG, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that it was the second shelling on the city, since the 20th June 2017 near the Syrian-Turkish border, the attack on the areas controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces and the Kurdish forces in Afrin and the northern countryside of Aleppo, resulted in the injury of 8 citizens, including a child in a serious case.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on 15th of July that the Turkish artillery targeted places in al-Ashrafyyeh area in Afrin city and other areas in Qastal Jandu and Qatma villages in the countryside of the city, and the shelling caused several injuries, including one serious injury, while the continuous shelling on the vicinity of the city and its countryside led to the breaking out of fire in the citizens’ properties and farms, amid a state of resentment prevailing in the area because of the targeting of the city, and this is considered the first targeting of the city since the start of Turkish preparations and the arrival of reinforcements to the south of A’zaz city in the northern countryside of Aleppo near the Syrian – Turkish border since the 20th of June 2017, and these preparations aimed at attacking the SDF and the Kurdish Forces-held areas in Afrin and northern countryside of Aleppo.
