Violent Clashes continue in the eastern countryside of Hama and the regime forces seek to end the presence of ISIS there

Hama Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: a man was killed as a result of the injury he had by the fall of shells fired by the “Islamic State” organization on areas in Salamiyah city which is controlled by the regime forces in the eastern countryside of Hama, amid the continuation of violent clashes between the regime forces supported by gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities and by the participation of the Russian forces on one hand, and the members of ISIS on the other, in areas in Uqayribat countryside, as part of the continuous advancement operations of regime forces to take the control of the remaining villages which are controlled by the organization, where the regime forces are trying under a cover of intensive violent shelling to minimize the organization scope and end the presence of the organization completely from Hama province after it managed this morning to hold its control over Uqayribat town, while Russian warplanes and helicopters carried out dozens of strikes which targeted areas of the organization’s presence and the clash areas, and confirmed information about more casualties and wounded in the ranks of the both parties, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented on Sunday morning more casualties at both sides of the fighting in the eastern countryside of Salamiyah city in the eastern countryside of Hama. The death toll documented by the SOHR since yesterday morning, the 2nd of September 2017 as a result of the violent shelling, bombings and continued fighting in Uqayribat and east of Hama increased significantly. On one hand, the number of ISIS members killed rose to 120 at least. On the other hand, fatalities among the regime forces and their allied militiamen, who were killed over the same period of time, rose to 35 at least.
