A violent counter attack by ISIS to restore one of its important points in the eastern countryside of Hama

Hama Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: violent clashes between the regime forces supported by militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities and by the participation of the Russian forces on one hand, and the members of the “Islamic State” organization on the other, within the continuous attempts by each party to advance at the expense of the other, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that ISIS carried out a counter attack aiming to retake the control of Hamada Omar village which was one of its important points, and which was controlled by the regime forces hours ago, amid exploding a booby trapped vehicle at least by the organization, the clashes are accompanied by intensive shelling by regime forces on areas in the eastern countryside of Hama, coincided with bombing by warplanes and helicopters on the clash areas.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that the regime forces managed to advance in the area and control 3 villages, including Hamada Omar village, which is the main stronghold of the organization in the eastern countryside of Hama, while the regime forces are shelling heavily along with aerial bombardment of Russian warplanes on Suha village, which is another main stronghold of the organization within the area besieged by the regime forces, of which 8 villages and housing compounds remain under the control of ISIS. These 8 villages are Suha, Abu Dali, Abu Habilat, Abu Hanaya, Qulayeb al-Thor, Khatamlo, Oksh, Om Mayl, where the violent clashes are taking place in the vicinity of Suha as the regime forces are about to control it, after they besieged it from several sides.

These operations come in light of the continued attempts of the regime forces to end the presence of ISIS in Hama province, through controlling the villages remained under the control of the organization, while the SOHR documented on Sunday morning the 3rd of September more people who were killed and injured in the ranks of both parties in the eastern countryside of Salmiyah city in the eastern countryside of Hama, where the SOHR documented the death of 120 members of ISIS since Saturday the 3rd of September of 2017, and 35 members of the regime forces who were killed in the same period as a result of shelling, bombings and ongoing fighting in Akirabat and east of Hama.
