An unidentified explosion shakes Idlib city and airstrikes and hit-and-run clashes in the eastern countryside of Hama

Idlib Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: a violent explosion was heard after midnight of yesterday near al-Fellahin Gas Station in Idlib city, no information about the circumstances and nature of the explosion yet.

Hama Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Warplanes carried out more raids on areas which are still under the control of the “Islamic State” organization in the eastern countryside of Hama, accompanied by shelling by the regime forces on the same areas, amid hit-and-run clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the “Islamic State” organization, in Uqayribat area in the eastern countryside of Hama, while the regime forces shelled after midnight of yesterday areas in Zara village in the southern countryside of Hama which caused material damage.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that the Russian and the regime’s warplanes almost do not stop flying in the sky of the Uqayribat area and the eastern countryside of Hama, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored these warplanes occasional carrying out violent strikes targeting villages that still under the control of the “Islamic State” organization as well as sites of its members, within the military operation the aim to give the regime forces complete control over the eastern countryside of Hama, which will end the existence of the “Islamic State” organization completely in Hama province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the warplanes have continued to escalate their strikes against village in the eastern countryside of Salamiyah city since this morning, amid violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities with the participation of Russian forces; against members of the “Islamic State” organization, amid carrying out violent attacks by the “Islamic State” organization which enabled it to achieve advancement in the area and regain control of at least two villages of which the regime forces advancement to a few days ago, while the organization is trying to re-take full control over Uqayribat town, which used to be its main stronghold in Hama Province, also two other villages in the countryside of Uqayribat are witnessing hit-and-run clashes between both parties.

The SOHR documented the death of more members of both sides, where it rose to at least 185, the number of ISIS members, including 10 suicide bombers, who were documented by the SOHR since the morning of the 3rd of September 2017, while it rose to at least 69, the number of members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen, who were killed in the same periods.

Also SOHR received confirmed information the “Islamic State” organization in the eastern countryside of Hama is keeping bodies and wounded of Russian forces who were killed and wounded in the eastern countryside of Hama, where the Russian forces are looking them, also Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of more members in the ranks of both parties.

These counterattacks by ISIS are coincided with the worsening humanitarian conditions and the living conditions of thousands of citizens remained in the area of al-Azeeb village, who were displaced from their villages and towns in the eastern countryside of Hama, with the aim to move to areas controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions of the northeastern countryside of Hama and the countryside of Idlib. Reliable sources asserted to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the “Islamic State” organization prevents the citizens from crossing into the areas controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions, where the organization targeted the citizens during their attempts to flee, in conjunction with the targeting the citizens by the regime forces, during their attempt to cross the landmine field separating the regime held areas and the Hayyaat and the factions-held areas.
