About 35 casualties of the regime forces and ISIS during controlling 10 villages about 50 kilometers away from Homs city

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that Jib al-Jarrah – Sha’ir – Shomariyyeh Triangle in the eastern countryside of Homs, which is at a distance of about 50 kilometers from Homs city, is still witnessing continuous shelling by the regime forces on areas controlled by the “Islamic State” organization and the villages which are still controlled by it in the area which is besieged by the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, and which is connected with the eastern countryside of Salamiyah city in the eastern countryside of Hama, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the intensive shelling accompanied by the continuation of clashes between the regime forces and the gunmen loyal to them on one hand, and the members of the organization on the other, in areas in this triangle, in which the regime forces managed to achieve advancement in Jadidah village and nearby positions, thus, the number of villages controlled by the regime forces since the start of their attack on the area on the 7th of September 2017, has increased to 10 villages at least, in an attempt to end the presence of ISIS in the area, while the organization is trying to advance again in area it lost through carrying out counter attacks on the positions and villages which have been controlled by the regime forces, and these clashes, shelling and explosions in the area, caused casualties in the ranks of the both parties, in which the SOHR documented the death of 26 members at least of the organization, while 7 members at least of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, were killed in these clashes, in addition to the injury of dozens with varying degrees of severity.

While these continuous clashes in Shomariyyeh – Jib al-Jarrah – Sha’ir Triangle, coincide with continuous shelling by the regime forces on villages in the eastern section of the Shomariyyeh mountains area, preparing for carrying out a new attack to take the control of more villages in the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that

The SOHR documented the death of more members of both sides, where it rose to at least 185, the number of ISIS members, including 10 suicide bombers, who were documented by the SOHR since the morning of the 3rd of September 2017, while it rose to at least 69, the number of members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen, who were killed in the same periods. Also SOHR received confirmed information the “Islamic State” organization in the eastern countryside of Hama is keeping bodies and wounded of Russian forces who were killed and wounded in the eastern countryside of Hama, where the Russian forces are looking them, also Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of more members in the ranks of both parties.
