Fearing not to be closed by ISIS … The regime forces work on widening the corridor leading to Deir Ezzor Airbase

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces are still continuing their military operation in the vicinity of the corridor which they opened and which enabled them to lift the siege on Deir Ezzor Airbase and reach it through Al-Maqabir area, in an attempt by regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities and with the participation of Russian forces, to widen the gap and prevented repeating what happened days ago in the vicinity of the brigade 137, in terms of carrying out counter attacks by the “Islamic State” organization which enabled it to control the corridor leads to the brigade 137 by firearm, and reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the regime forces are continuing to dismantle the mines in the area, in addition to the violent clashes which are taking place between them and against the members of the organization, in the vicinity of the area and at Jabal Al-Thardah overlooking Deir Ezzor Airbase.

While the clashes are continuing between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities on one hand, and the members of the “Islamic State’ organization on the other, in areas in the west of Deir Ezzor city, in the area between the concentrations the advanced forces and the western entrance of the city, in an attempt to by the regime forces to take the control of the meters remaining of the road, which will enable the regime forces to reach Deir Ezzor city, and allow them to enter the food humanitarian aid well as the entry and the exit of the citizens from and to Deir Ezzor city, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that these clashes in the two fronts are accompanied by intensive violent shelling as well as continuous raids by Russian and regime’s warplanes and helicopters on the clash areas, and there is confirmed information about the death and the injury of tens of the members in the ranks of the both parties.
