More casualties in the renewed shelling on Al-Raqqah city and the clashes renew at the banks of the Euphrates River

Al-Raqqah Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the violent clashes renewed between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities as well as the Russian trained-and-armed clan forces on one hand, and the members of the “Islamic State” organization on the other, in areas east of Ghanim Al-Ali town, in an attempt by the regime forces to advance at the expense of the organization and retake the control of areas lost weeks ago for the organization, after a violent attack carried out by the latest on the area, and the clashes are accompanied by intensive shelling by the regime forces on the clash areas, while the Russian warplanes carried out intensive strikes targeted areas in Madan city and other places in the eastern countryside of Al-Raqqah, and information about confirmed casualties in the ranks of the both parties.

In the same context, the number of people who were killed by the bombing during the past 24 hours, on areas in Al-Raqqah city, by the “Islamic State” organization, has increased to 11 persons at least including a man and his wife, while the forces of “Euphrates Wrath” Operation are continuing their shelling targeting areas controlled by ISIS in Al-Raqqah city, while the clashes are continuing between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the US Special Forces on one hand, and the members of ISIS, in the vicinity of the center of Al-Raqqah city, in an attempt by the SDF to advance in the area.
