“Jazeera Storm” carries out the most violent clashes during the first 72 hours of its start, first casualties fall in the ranks of the attacker

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the violent clashes are still taking place between the Syria Democratic Forces led by Deir Ezzor Military Council on one hand, and the members of the “Islamic State” organization on the other, in areas in the vicinity of the train station which was controlled by the forces of “Jazeera Storm” operation, and in Al-Ma’aamel area which is near Deir Ezzor – Al-Sur – Markadah road, and reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the SDF managed to advance in the area, after it took the control of the Brigade 113 which is located between Al-Ma’aamel area and the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, and these clashes are considered the first real and the most violent between the both parties since the 9th of September 2017, and the clashes resulted in the fall the first casualties in the ranks of the both parties, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented that 4 fighters of the SDF were killed in the clashes, while confirmed information was reported about falling casualties of the members of ISIS in the intensive shelling and the clashes which accompanied them.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that the clashes are concentrated in the vicinity of Ma’aamel area, while the SDF managed to control the train station and are still trying to make further advancement towards the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, which is opposite to the city, and if the SDF reached this area, they will be able to encircle hundreds of square kilometers of areas controlled by the organization near the eastern side of the Euphrates River.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that the violent clashes continued during the last night between the forces of Manbij Military Council and the YPG of the Syria Democratic Forces on one hand, and the members of “Islamic State” organization on the other, in areas in the east of the Euphrates River, near the eastern banks of the river opposite Deir Ezzor city, in which crossed sources confirmed to the SOHR that these forces managed to achieve advancement in to the south-east of the areas which they reached yesterday, and impose their control on the Brigade 113, which is at a distance of about 6 km from the banks of the Euphrates River opposite Deir Ezzor city, south of Al-Ma’aamel area, and the clashes are accompanied by exchange of shelling on the clash areas, amid flying the warplanes of the International Coalition over the area, and information about targeting the positions of the organization during these clashes.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on Friday the 8th of September 2017, that it is expected that a large military operation will be carried out in the next hours led by Deir Ezzor Military Council of the Syria Democratic Forces, and supported by the International Coalition warplanes and the US Special Forces, in which the military operation aims to control the area extended from the southern countryside of Al-Shaddadi which is located in the south of Al-Hasakah province, to the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that it obtained information from reliable sources that it is expected for a military operation to start during the next few days in the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah, which is connected to Deir Ezzor countryside and to the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, where reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that Deir Ezzor Military Council of the Syria Democratic Forces is preparing to start a large military operation that aims to end the presence of the “Islamic State” organization in the rest of Al-Hasakah province and in the countryside of Deir Ezzor east of the Euphrates River, the sources confirmed to the SOHR that Deir Ezzor Military Council will lead the military operation from two main points; one of them starts from the southern countryside of Al-Shaddadi, and the other one starts from the northwestern countryside of Deir Ezzor towards the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, which is known as “Al-Jazeera line” along the river, while US Special Forces arrived to the area to participate in this military operation which is supported by the International Coalition.

And reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on the 25th of August 2017 that coordination took place with Deir Ezzor Military Council in order to start simultaneous military operations, in which Deir Ezzor Military Council from the north-western countryside of Deir Ezzor, and from the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah will start these operations towards the north of Deir Ezzor, and the sources confirmed that this division in the scope of operations came according to the clans’ concentrations in the area, in which Deir Ezzor Military Council with its allied forces will start from areas where the sons of the clan fighters of Deir Ezzor Military Council are concentrated.
