Lack of electricity and water, shortage of the food, closed and destructed hospitals, and suicide attempts… About 2900 people killed are within the worst 100 days in al-Raqqa

“no food, no medicine, no electricity, and the death is everywhere,,,,” said those people still alive in al-Raqqa city, which warplanes, missiles, bomb, mines and bullets are killing many of its people and yet still hungry for more death, which seems like they are becoming addict to killing more humans of this city, as the death is still increasing since 100 days

The SOHR monitored detail of lives of civilians and their lamentable humanitarian conditions in al-Raqqa city. The SOHR received information from several reliable sources about citizens of al-Raqqa city still living in the city, and other fled it. Local sources told the SOHR that the humanitarian and living conditions are deteriorating day after another, and that the humanitarian conditions are becoming dire and very tragic, as the storage of food is diminishing, as the citizens intended earlier to store legumes, grains and other materials that could be kept for a long time, while the electricity and drinkable don’t exist in the city.

The sources asserted to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the medical services are missing in the city, with a severe shortage of medicines and medical materials and sterilization tools and other tools, and the people asserted that the “Islamic State” organization established medical centers to aid its members, while the hospitals located in the organization-held areas are closed or destroyed, and it is not allowed to aid any civilians in these ISIS centers, where lots of injured people remained untreated, following an oral orders from the organization that everyone help himself. All the roads leading to the city are completely or partially closed due to the heavy shelling that caused the destruction to buildings and streets in the city, where more than 80% of the city is uninhabitable as a result of the destruction, while thousands of civilians are still trapped within the areas controlled by the organization in the neighborhoods of al-Amin and other neighborhoods still held by the organization north of the city.
