More than 1100 airstrikes of Russian and regime’s warplanes on about 45 areas in Hama and Idlib within 1 week, leaving at least 360 civilians killed and injured

The skies of Idlib and Hama are full of Russian and regime’s warplanes that are killing the residents and the displaced of the people of the two provinces, and the SOHR monitored the warplanes escalating their shelling on the cities, towns, and villages of the northeastern  and northern countryside of Hama and the eastern, northern and western countryside of Idlib and other areas in the two provinces, killing and injuring more people every time they raid, and causing material damage to the properties of the citizens and the infrastructure, targeting in some airstrikes headquarters of Islamic and repel factions, where the escalation has increased with the beginning of the “last attempt” battle on the 19th of September 2017, and is still ongoing until today the 25th of September.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented  that  the Russian and the regime’s warplanes has been targeting the province of Idlib and Hama within seven consecutive days with more than 1100 air raids on the cities, towns and villages of al-Latamnah, Mork, al-Janabra (al-Banna), Tel Hawash, Kafrzita, Arafa, Hazm, the vicinity of Ma’an, Atshan, Khafsin, Rabda, Umm Haratin, and Qalaat al-Madiq, in the northern and northeastern countryside of Hama, and town and villages of Saraqeb, Sheikh Sandian, Badama, Sarja, Sanjar, Maarzita, al-Fatira, Karsa’a, al-Naqeer, Abu al-Duhor, Tel Mardikh, al-Tamanah, al-Habeet, Sakik, Ma’rhatat, Jerjenaz, al-Hamidiyah, Telmans, Sinjar, Wadi al-Dayf, al-Sahriyah, Khan Shaykhon, al-Tah, Latmin, Kafnobl, al-Bara, al-Kafir, al-Zainia, Ein Zarqa, al-Shoughor, al-Nahr al-Abyad, Haloz, al-Alia, Sarmin, Termala, al-Nayrab, Om Sayr, Kafroma, and the outskirts of Jisr al-Shoughor city and other areas in Hama and Idlib.

These heavy airstrikes killed and injured tens of people, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented at least 58 martyrs, including 18 children below the age of 18 and 19 women over the age of 18, who were killed in airstrikes on the western villages of Jisr al-Shughour and the cities, towns and villages of Khan Shaykoun and Qal’aat al-Madiq, al-Tamanah, Kafrnboda, al-Sahriyah, al-Latmanah, Saraqeb, al-Tah, Kafrsajnah, Sarja, Dana, and the Syrian Observatory also documented at least 307 people injured with different severity, some of whom suffered permanent disabilities, others still seriously injured.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of tens of fighters who were killed in aerial bombardment in the provinces of Idlib and Hama, where the SOHR documented the death of at least 142 fighters of the Islamic and rebel factions, Hayaat Tahrir al-Sham and Islamic Turkmenstani Party, who were killed in Russian and regime’s warplanes bombardment on the headquarter of al-Sham Corps, Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic Movement, Hayaat Tahrir al-Sham and positions of the factions and their vehicles in the fronts during the battle of “the last attempt”, in which violent clashes took place between the regime forces and their allied militiamen against fighters of Hayaat Tahrir al-Sham, the Islamic Turkmenstani Party and the rebel and Islamic faction in areas in the far northeastern countryside of Hama, and the death toll included about 50 fighters of al-Sham Corps, who were killed in the targeting on their headquarter in Tel Mardikh area near Saraqeb town in the eastern countryside of Idlib.

It worth mentioning that the “last attempt” battle, came as the factions seek to advance in the area and control villages which will enable them to approach the strategic Zayn al-Abdeen Mounatin and Hama city. This battle came after preparations for days, in which the Hayaat Tahrir al-Sham has informed the citizens  in the villages in the southern countryside of Idlib and the northeastern countryside of Hama to evacuate the houses so as to avoid the violent shelling in the area in case the operation was launched, so there was displacement in the past days towards villages far from the military operation areas, while Hama province witnessed months ago violent clashes between the regime forces and their allied militiamen of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the rebel and Islamic factions and Hayaat Tahrir al-Sham, through which they managed to control large number of villages and towns with the support of Russian heavy shelling and then the regime forces managed to restore the whole area back.
