Two villages separate the regime forces from splitting the besieged east of Homs and Hama after 45 days of siege

About 540 dead casualties of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and the “Islamic State” organization in about a month of military operations in the eastern countryside of Hama and the triangle of eastern Homs

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the violent clashes are still taking place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas located in the eastern countryside of Hama at the administrative border with the eastern countryside of Homs, and on contact lines with the triangle of Jeb al-Jarrah – Shaer Mountain –Shomariyyeh Mountains, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces advance after carrying out a violent attack on Sunday the 1st of October 2017, which enabled them to achieve an important advancement and controlled the villages of Suha, Rasm al-Abd and Rasm al-Abakaiya as well as hills and heights near the area, thus, the regime forces have advanced towards their forces who are positioned in the areas of Tarfawi and al-Sultaniyyeh at the administrative border of the eastern countryside of Homs with the east of Hama, where now only 2 villages separate the advancing regime forces form meeting their positioned forces, and if the regime forces succeed in doing that in the coming hours, they will splitting the besieged circle, also they will be separating the “Islamic State” organization’s controlled areas in the eastern countryside of Salamiyah from the “Islamic State” organization’s controlled areas in the triangle of Jeb al-Jarrah – Shaer Mountain –Shomariyyeh Mountains, which is 50 km east of Homs city, leaving about 160 km of Hama Province under the control of the organization, also the organization still control about 525 km of the triangle of east Homs, also if the regime forces were able to control the organization’s remaining area in the countryside of Hama, then the existence of the “Islamic State” organization in the entire Hama Province will be ended.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 443 people at least of both parties since the 3rd of September 2017 until the 1st of October 2017, where it rose to 364 at least; the number of organization members who were killed and documented by the observatory, including more than 43 members who blew themselves up with a booby trapped vehicles and explosive belts, while it rose to 172; the number of members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them who were killed in the bombing and clashes, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received information that members of the “Islamic State” organization in the eastern countryside of Hama retains the bodies or wounded members of the Russian forces who were killed and injured in the eastern countryside of Hama, where the Russian forces were searching for them, while the regime forces managed on the 3rd of September 2017, to hold the control of Uqayribat town after violent clashes and intensive aerial and ground shelling on the town which resulted in the death of tens in the ranks of the both parties, after that they lost it and then they managed to control it.
