After 3 years of controlling the eastern countryside of Hama, ISIS no longer exists in the entire Hama province

About 600 members of the regime forces and ISIS were killed within a month of the attack that ended the presence of the organization in Hama province 

The regime forces continue their advancement operation in the besieged circles which consists of the eastern countryside of Salmiyah along with other villages located in the administrative borders of Homs after less than 24 hours of dividing the besieged circle with the support of the militiamen loyal to them. The SOHR learned that the regime forces managed to impose their full control over this besieged circle, while the regime forces continue sweeping the area to impose their full control in it. ISIS also has been fighting violently in the past 4 weeks to prevent the regime forces from advancing and controlling this area, which led to end the presence of ISIS in the eastern countryside of Salmiyah.

This huge loss of the organization came after one month of beginning the violent offensive by the regime forces in the area, where the strategic advancement of the regime forces and their allied militiamen of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities with the support of the artillery and missile shelling and Russian and the regime air cover on the eastern countryside of Hama, forced the organization to lose its full presence in the entire province of Hama after 3 years of controlling the eastern countryside of Hama, while the violent clashes left hundreds of people killed in both parties.

The SOHR documented, since the 3rd of September 2017, the date of the attack which took place in the eastern countryside of Hama until today the 4th of October, the death of hundreds of members of ISIS and the regime forces and their allied militiamen. The death toll rose to at least 596 people from both parties, as the death toll of ISIS members is at least 407, including 55 ISIS suicide bombers who exploded themselves by car bombs and explosive belts, while it rose to at least 189 members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen who were killed in the shelling and the clashes in the countryside of Hama and Homs, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received information that members of the “Islamic State” organization in the eastern countryside of Hama retains the bodies or wounded members of the Russian forces who were killed and injured in the eastern countryside of Hama, where the Russian forces were searching for them, while the regime forces managed on the 3rd of September 2017, to hold the control of Uqayribat town after violent clashes and intensive aerial and ground shelling on the town which resulted in the death of tens in the ranks of the both parties, after that they lost it and then they managed to control it.
