Injuries in shelling by the regime forces on the Eastern Ghouta and the clashes continue after advancing in Hosh al-Dawahra

Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: several people were wounded after shelling by the regime forces on areas in Zamalka city in the eastern Ghouta, also the regime forces shelled areas in Hazza town in the Eastern Ghouta, which caused material damage, but no information about casualties, while the clashes continue in Hosh Al-Dawahra area in the Eastern Ghouta between Jaysh al-Islam against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, where the Syrian Observatory published in the last few hours that advancement of the regime forces in 5 points in farm areas, this coincided with shelling by the regime forces on areas in Otaya town and Hosh al-Dawahra.

 Where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published this morning that it monitored the continuation of the violent fighting between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against Jaysh Al-Islam, in areas in the Eastern Ghouta, as the clashes are continuing between the both parties for the fifth consecutive days, in the city whose importance comes in the terms of that if the regime forces managed to take the full control of it, they will control new areas in the Eastern Ghouta, and Al-Shaffuniyya town which is the most important town for Jaysh Al-Islam, will be the front line between the regime forces and the factions, in addition to that, the control of Hosh Al-Dawahra will allow to the regime forces to uncover large areas of Otaya town in the Eastern Ghouta, and if the regime forces advanced towards Otaya, they will complete to control of the whole of Al-Marj area because Jaysh Al-Islam will withdraw from the towns of Al-Nashabiyah and Hazrama, in which Al-Marj area is considered the main source of food for Al-Ghouta because it contains agricultural projects, and by restoring the area by the regime forces, they will clamp down on the Eastern Ghouta more and more under the siege imposed by the regime forces on the area.

The Syrian Observatory for Human rights monitored during the past 5 days the regime forces targeting the town of Hosh al-Dawahra by tens of missiles, believed to be ground-to-ground and tens of artillery, tanks and mortar shells on the town, its vicinity and its outskirts, causing human losses in the ranks of both parties, where the regime forces seek to advance in the area, amid attempts to violent repel attacks by Jaysh al-Islam, while the violent clashes left human losses in the ranks of both parties including the commander of the 10th Infantry Brigade affiliated to Jaysh al-Islam.
