After they failed to maintain the areas they advanced in…Tahrir al-Sham and the factions renew the battle of “the last attempt” and attack fiercely the controlled areas of the regime forces in Hama countryside
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that violent clashes have been taking place since this morning, between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and Islamic factions, in the areas of Al-Tulaysiyah, Al-Mshirfah, Al-Talah Al-Sawdaa, Al-Shatheh, Al-Qahirah and Qubaybat Abu al-Huda, in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, following an attack by the latest on the area, in which the clashes are accompanied by violent explosions rocked the area, caused by shelling by the regime forces on the controlled areas of the faction, and the shelling by the faction and Tahrir al-Sham on the sites and positions of the regime forces, which coincided with bombing by warplanes on areas in the vicinity of Abu Dali and Al-Hamdania villages in Hama countryside, and the outskirts of Al-Khwayn and Tell Maraq villages in the south-eastern countryside of Idlib, also an explosion rocked Abu Dali area, it is likely to be caused by exploding a booby trapped vehicle in the area where the factions managed to attack and impose their siege on and monitor most of the roads to it by firearm, amid bringing great military reinforcement by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham to the area, in an attempt to advance and take the control of areas under the regime forces’ control, and reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that this battle comes after great preparations by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions, and it also comes to renew the battle of “the last attempt”, which Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions started on the 19th of September 2017, and stopped few days ago after the regime forces managed to recover the areas they lost for the factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham.
It is noteworthy that this battle of the last attempt, comes in an effort by the factions to achieve advancement in the area and take the control of the villages which close the distance between them and the strategic mountain of Zayn Al-Abidin and Hama city, while this battle comes after preparations lasted for days in which Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham intended to tell the citizens in the villages in the far southern countryside of Idlib and the north-eastern countryside of Hama, to leave their houses to avoid the intensive shelling which will be carried out on the area if the operation starts, thus, the area witnessed a displacement movement during the past days to villages far from the areas of this military operation, while Hama province witnessed months ago violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and the rebel and Islamic factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, in which they managed to take the control of a large number of villages and towns, under a cover of intensive shelling, then the regime forces came and retook the control on the whole areas they lost.
