Artillery and mortar shelling and 2nd round of airstrikes on Douma city within 10 days kill and injure several people
Rif Dimashq province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: the SOHR learned that warplanes targeted Douma city in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, killing at least 3 citizens including a child, and the shelling of the regime forces with 10 mortar and artillery shelling killed one person, while the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of several injured, some of whom are still in serious conditions, and this is considered the 2nd round of airstrikes that targeted Douma city, since the 26th of September 2017, the date the warplanes targeted Douma and the Eastern Ghouta after a lapse of targeting for 2 months.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 26th of September that 4 persons at least were killed as a result of the bombing which targeted Douma city which is controlled by Jaysh Al-Islam in the Eastern Ghouta, they are the first casualties to be killed by air strikes since the end of July 2017, in which these raids come after two months of being the warplanes away from the sky of the Eastern Ghouta, and the raids has stopped since the end of July 2017, on the cities and the towns of the Eastern Ghouta, after killing and injuring tens of citizens by raids by the warplanes on Arbin and the cities and the towns of the Eastern Ghouta, which followed an agreement to decrease the escalation which didn’t last because of the consecutive violations to the agreement which carried out between Russia and representatives of the factions in the Eastern Ghouta, in the 22nd of September 2017.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 29th of September that several explosions rocked several areas in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and the SOHR learned that these explosions were caused by missile and artillery shelling by the regime forces on areas in the towns of Beir Sawa and Misraba and other areas in Saqba town, and the SOHR learned that 21 citizens including 8 children and women as a result of these shelling. These targeting and killings of civilians comes within the first operation of the regime forces to revenge for the death of tens of their soldiers and armed militiamen who were killed yesterday and day before yesterday in explosions carried out by al-Rahman Corps near the walls of the Capital Damascus.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that it learned that tens of members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them have been killed in the last 24 hours, after successive targeting by Rahman Corps for them in fronts located to the east of the capital Damascus and around it from the side of Ein Tarma and the western outskirts of the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of more than 52 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them who were killed in the explosions that were carried out by Rahman Corps, by detonating buildings and sites where members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them are located; east of Damascus and west of its eastern Ghouta.
