Regime forces end the presence of ISIS in the triangle located 50 km east of Homs, two days after ending its presence in Hama

After the regime forces ended their military operation in the eastern countryside of Hama by expelling the “Islamic State” organization and ending its presence in the eastern countryside Hama as a controlling organization, the regime forces turned their military strength to the triangle of Jeb al-Jarrah – Shaer Mountain – Shomariyyeh Mountains, which is located about 50 km to the east of Homs city, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces were able on Friday the 6th of October 2017 supported by gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities to achieve an important advancement, and controlled the rest of the triangle, where the organization’s presence in this triangle has ended, where the violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against members of the organization were accompanied by heavy and intense shelling, and raids by warplanes, which caused more casualties in the ranks of both parties.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces has begun sweeping the area they controlled, while more casualties have been documented in the ranks of both parties, raising to 624 the number of casualties in the ranks of both parties, where it rose to 426 members, including about 59 members who blew themselves up in a booby-trapped vehicles and explosive belts, while it rose to 198, the number members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them who were killed in bombing and clashes, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received confirmed information that the “Islamic State” organization in the eastern countryside of Hama is keeping bodies and wounded of Russian forces who were killed and wounded in the eastern countryside of Hama, where the Russian forces are looking them.
