In conjunction with the Turkish – Russian – Iranian movements, Syrian opponents form a “National Rescue Government” in Idlib

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has been informed by reliable sources that a meeting took place at Bab-Hawa border crossing between Idlib province and the Iskenderun, the meeting was organized by Syrian opponents in the Syrian interior, from which a “National Rescue Government” was formed, the meeting included opponents from several Syrian areas during which a President of the National Rescue Government was elected, he is the Dr. Mohammed al-Sheikh of Idlib Province, and the election of the government came after holding the General Syrian Conference from which a founding body emerged and after that the preparation started for the National Rescue Government, whose president was elected today, and the reliable sources confirmed that the members, offices and work of this Government will be in the Syrian interior.

The sources also confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the Government opposes the Turkish – Russian –Iranian intervention in the Syrian interior, and opposes the fighting between the rebel factions and movements operating on Syrian soil, while the process of announcing the Government and electing its President comes in conjunction with the Turkish – Russian –Iranian movements in preparation for a military operation in Idlib Province, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on Saturday the 7th October 2017 that Activists in the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored movements of the Turkish army and Turkish military vehicles, on the border between Idlib province and the Sanjak of Alexandretta, where Turkish engineering vehicles lifted parts of the wall separating between the Turkish side and Idlib province, and opened corridors fit for military vehicles to pass through them, these movements came after targeting took place yesterday by members believed to be of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, to positions of Turkish forces and vehicles in Idlib countryside, followed by explosions which sources said that they were caused by Turkish targeting to positions of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, while tension prevails Idlib province, because of the fighting probability between Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and rebel and Islamic factions operating in the province, which witnessed weeks ago fierce fighting between Ahrar Al-Sham and other factions against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in which tens of citizens were killed and injured.

Reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that this operation came after a Russian – Turkish – Iranian agreement, to start a Turkish operation in Idlib, under an aerial Russian cover, the operation also came after the meeting which held few days ago in Turkey, between the Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish forces entered for the first time militarily to the Syrian territory in the 24th of August 2016, and managed with the rebel and Islamic factions operating in “The Euphrates Shield” Operation and the factions to take the control of more than 2200 square km of the north-eastern countryside of Aleppo, and finished the presence of the organization in the last areas of it on the Syrian – Turkish border, and started to enter by taking the control of Jarabulus which used to be controlled by the organization.
