In the first important advancement within the battle of “the last attempt”…Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham takes the control of an important village on the economic crossing to Idlib

The area of Abu Dali and other areas in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, witnessed violent explosions, caused by the violent shelling by the regime forces as well as raids by warplanes on Abu Dali area and its vicinity, which Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham managed to besiege and control, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that violent clashes are taking place between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and rebel and Islamic factions in areas in the vicinity of Abu Dali village and other areas in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, where the regime forces fight desperately to retake the control of the village, while Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions are heading for achieving further advancement and imposing their control on other areas in the vicinity of the village, which is an important crossing between the controlled areas of the factions and the controlled areas of the regime forces, and it’s also the connecting point with the eastern countryside of Hama where the “Islamic State” organization located.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also learned that these clashes resulted in the fall of casualties in the ranks of the both parties, including members of the regime forces including an officer with the rank of a staff brigadier general and he is a commander of a special tasks battalion in a military brigade of the regime forces, and reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that this battle comes after great preparations by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions, and it also comes to renew the battle of “the last attempt”, which Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions started on the 19th of September 2017, and stopped few days ago after the regime forces managed to recover the areas they lost for the factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham.

It is noteworthy that this battle of the last attempt, comes in an effort by the factions to achieve advancement in the area and take the control of the villages which close the distance between them and the strategic mountain of Zayn Al-Abidin and Hama city, while this battle comes after preparations lasted for days in which Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham intended to tell the citizens in the villages in the far southern countryside of Idlib and the north-eastern countryside of Hama, to leave their houses to avoid the intensive shelling which will be carried out on the area if the operation starts, thus, the area witnessed a displacement movement during the past days to villages far from the areas of this military operation, while Hama province witnessed months ago violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and the rebel and Islamic factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, in which they managed to take the control of a large number of villages and towns, under a cover of intensive shelling, then the regime forces came and retook the control on the whole areas they lost.
