The SOHR learned that violent clashes are still ongoing in the northeastern countryside of Hama, in conjunction with violent shelling on the clash area, and the SOHR monitored the violent clashes between the regime forces backed by their allied militiamen  against fighters of Hayaat Tahrir al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions in the vicinity of Abu Dali and al-Qahira area and other areas located in the northeastern countryside of Hama, amid an exchange and heavy shelling between both parties, and the clashes, which escalated in the past 24 hours, caused human losses in the ranks of both parties. The SOHR documented the death of at least 26 members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen, and that tens others were injured with different severity, including more than 20 of them, whose bodies are remained in the streets of the village, while several fighters of Tahrir al-Sham and the factions were also killed and injured in the same clashes.

The SOHR documented in the past hours that the rebel and Islamic factions and Tahrir al-Sham managed to control the strategic village of Abu Dali, while the factions carried out a new offensive in the vicinity of the village, that was accompanied by a car bomb in the area, in conjunction with a rebel attack of the regime forces on Abu Trikiyah area in the northeastern countryside of Hama.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on Sunday the 8th of October that the clashes continue between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the Islamic factions against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in Al-Qahera village and other areas in the vicinity of the villages of Abu Trikiyyeh and Abu Dali in the northern countryside of Hama, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions were able to advance and control sites at the outskirts al-Qahera area, also the clashes were accompanied by exchange of shelling between both parties, and confirmed information about casualties in the ranks of them both.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that the regime forces are trying to re-advance and regain control of the areas that are still under the control of the factions -including al-Mshirfah village, and the clashes are accompanied by intense shelling by the regime forces and targeting by the factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, and information about more casualties in the ranks of both parties, where the Syrian Observatory documented in the last few hours the death of about 12 fighters at least of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and its supported factions in the clashes which are taking place in this front since the dawn of Friday the 6th of October 2017, while a number of members of the regime forces were killed in the same clashes, And reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that this battle comes after great preparations by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions, and it also comes to renew the battle of “the last attempt”, which Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions started on the 19th of September 2017, and stopped few days ago after the regime forces managed to recover the areas they lost for the factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham.

It is noteworthy that this battle of the last attempt, comes in an effort by the factions to achieve advancement in the area and take the control of the villages which close the distance between them and the strategic mountain of Zayn Al-Abidin and Hama city, while this battle comes after preparations lasted for days in which Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham intended to tell the citizens in the villages in the far southern countryside of Idlib and the north-eastern countryside of Hama, to leave their houses to avoid the intensive shelling which will be carried out on the area if the operation starts, thus, the area witnessed a displacement movement during the past days to villages far from the areas of this military operation, while Hama province witnessed months ago violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and the rebel and Islamic factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, in which they managed to take the control of a large number of villages and towns, under a cover of intensive shelling, then the regime forces came and retook the control on the whole areas they lost.
