Intensive aerial and ground shelling accompanies by violent clashes the south-west of Rif Dimashq in a new attempt by the regime forces to advance

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the helicopters dropped explosive barrels on areas in Tal Marawan and Al-Dahr Al-Aswad area as well as Beit Jinn Farm and Maghar Al-Meer and Al-Zayyat area in the western countryside, in preliminary ground shelling, carried out by the regime forces amid violent clashes are taking place in the areas of Beit Jinn and Maghar Al-Meer in the south-west of Rif Dimashq between Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions against the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, as a result of a new attack is being carried out by the latest in order to achieve advancement in the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 6th of October 2017, that the violent clashes continue in areas in the vicinity and outskirts of Beit Jen Farm west of Rif Dimashq, between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the factions against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, in a continued attack by the last mentioned to achieve advancement and control Beit Jen town, and the Syrian Observatory learned that the regime forces with air cover by helicopters and heavy bombardment have managed to advance and control a strategic hill in the area as well as other locations southwest of Rif Dimashq, and confirmed information about casualties in the ranks of both parties, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 28th of September 2017, that areas on the outskirts and the vicinity of Beit Jen town in the southwestern of Rif Dimashq are still witnessing the fiercest clashes between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the factions against the regime forces supported by the loyal gunmen, in an attempt by the regime forces to advance and storming of Beit Jen town, where hit-and-run clashes are taking place between both parties, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the factions regained control of the points to which the regime forces advanced to this morning, while the intense rocket bombardment continues on the clash areas, and the clashes were accompanied by exchange of targeting which killed 7 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and 12 members at least of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the factions during the bombing and clashes, and in the same context, the shells continues to fall on places in Hodr town and Harfa village and other areas controlled by the regime forces in Rif Dimashq and Al-Quneitra.
