Successive collapses of ISIS in Deir Ezzor province about 5 weeks after lifting the siege on it
The regime forces and under the Russian command take the control of 4 villages of which the ISIS withdrew from, towards the east of the Euphrates River through the corridors that were granted for it and completed to impose their siege on the bank opposite the city
Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the western banks of the Euphrates River are witnessing continuous violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, following the continuation of the violent attack by the regime forces, and their attempt to complete their control over the entire area extended from Al-Mayadin to the east of Deir Ezzor city, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces managed to achieve advancement in the area, and took the control of 4 villages they are Al-Zbari, Sa’loo, Al-Toob and Al-Aliyat in the north-west of the towns of Beqres Foqani and Beqres Tahtani, which the regime forces managed to control yesterday, and the violent clashes are accompanied by intensive shelling by the regime forces as well as bombardment by the warplanes on areas there, and confirmed information about the fall of more casualties in the ranks of the both parties.
And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that corridors have been left open for ISIS to pass through them, through the Euphrates River, to the eastern banks of the river, so that the regime forces could achieve new advancement which helps them to increase their scope of control, and enables them to recover more the areas they lost years ago, while the violent clashes are accompanied by continuous violent fighting between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in Deir Ezzor city, following an attack started by the regime forces on Monday, enabled them to achieve great advancement in Al-Rasafa, Al-Ommal and al-Sena’aa neighborhoods, amid aerial and artillery shelling by tens of missiles, shells and bombs.
The violent clashes are also continuing between the both parties in the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, opposite Dier Ezzor city, as well as other areas in the northern entrance of the city, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces completed their control over Al-Husseiniyah village, in conjunction with achieving new advancement and taking the control of Al-Salihiyah village, amid continuous fighting between in the vicinity of the areas which the regime forces have controlled , following counter attacks by the organization in an attempt by the organization to restore what it lost, and the clashes are accompanied by exchange of targeting caused confirmed human losses in the ranks of the both parties.
And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday, that violent clashes are taking place between the regime forces supported by gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against members of the “Islamic State” organization in areas in the western banks of the Euphrates River, in the area between the east of Deir Ezzor city and al-Mayadin city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the regime forces started a violent attack after about 24 hours of controlling Al-Mayadin city –which used to be “the capital of al-Khair State”– after fierce battles, during which the regime forces were able to defeat members of the” Islamic State “organization led by “al-Qaradish”, and the battles were accompanied by heavy and intense shelling on the city, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of clashes in an attempt by the regime forces to advance, where they were able with the support of their loyal gunmen to control Beqres area, and after that the area of Beqres Tahtani and most of the town of Beqres Foqani have become under their control, after a fierce and intense attack coincided with the continuous bombardment by the Russian warplane as well as regime’s warplanes and shelling by the regime forces, and the regime forces are trying to complete their control over the entire remaining area between Al-Mayadin and east of Deir Ezzor, in an attempt to end the presence of the organization by pushing it to withdraw towards the eastern banks of the river, and the SOHR published on Saturday the 14th of October 2017, that the regime forces led by the Russian forces and the support of the gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities; were able to continue advancing and control the entire city of Al-Mayadin located at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and the city is being swept and the regime forces are strengthening their control of it. This control came after heavy and intense shelling forced members of the organization to withdraw from the city, which was completely surrounded with the exception of the river side, where it was opened a for the organization’s members to withdraw within the last 24 hours, and during the past few days violent clash took place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities led by Russian forces, against members of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities led by the “Qaradish”, which caused significant casualties in the ranks of both parties, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on Thursday, that it learned from a number of reliable sources, that great military reinforcements arrived to the “Islamic State” organization in Deir Ezzor province, in which the sources confirmed to the SOHR that about 1000 commander and fighters of the organization had arrived at its controlled areas in Deir Ezzor countryside, during the past 72 hours, of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, most of them are of Asian nationalities, and some of the fighters are of a brigade called “Al-Qa’qa’ Brigade” operating in Iraq, and the fighters deployed in different fronts in Deir Ezzor and the Syrian Desert, after two weeks of the arrival of hundreds of fighters of ISIS from Iraq of non-Syrian nationalities, who carried out side by side with the members existed before, an attack on the Syrian territory which targeted the western desert of Deir Ezzor and the eastern and the south eastern countryside of Homs, the SOHR also obtained information form reliable sources, that the 1000 fighters coming from Iraq, are gathering in a front in the “Islamic State” organization called “Al-Qaradish” which is composed of fighters Uzbek, Tajik, Azeri and Turkistan nationalities, in which this front received the command of the military operations in Al-Mayadin city and the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and it’s known about this front that it doesn’t trust the Syrian or the Arab members operating in the “Islamic State” organization.
