Continuous clashes south of Al-Hasakah within the continued offensive by SDF on the area

Hasaka province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: the violent clashes are ongoing on the areas located near Markada area, which is considered the biggest stronghold of the “Islamic State” organization in Hasaka province between the “Islamic State” organization against the Syria Democratic Forces, which are leading the “Al-Jazeera Storm”, and the clashes were accompanied by shelling and an aching of targeting with the ongoing attack carried out by the SDF to achieve an advancement in the area, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah is witnessing the continuation of the violent clashes between the Syria Democratic Forces which lead “Al-Jazeera Storm” operation against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in places near Markada area, which is the last biggest stronghold of the organization in Al-Hasakah province, in which the SDF are seeking to achieve advancement in the area, and minimize the scope of ISIS control, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored today the 17th of October 2017, violent clashes between the both parties in the area of Al-Hammah Mountain in the west of Markada, in an attempt to block the road to the town, and monitor the area surrounded the mountain, to facilitate the advancement process and take the control of the mountain, while the forces of “Al-Jazeera Storm” operation, advanced and controlled a village there, and if the SDF manage to hold their control over the area, then they block the western outlets against the organization, and keep the eastern outlet which lead it to Iraq open.
