The second explosion within two weeks that targets Al-Qaryatayn city and kills a battalion commander in the regime forces as well as other members were with him

Homs Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the number of casualties has increased as a result of the explosion that targeted the outskirts of Al-Qaryatayn city, where an officer with the rank of a colonel who is a commander of a battalion of the Division-11 Tanks in the regime forces, with other 3 members of the regime forces, by an explosion of a booby trapped vehicle carried out by the “Islamic State” organization, and targeted a position of the regime forces in the outskirts of the city, the explosion also caused the fall of a number of wounded, some of them have seriously injured, which may increase the death toll.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published in the 7th of October 2017, that a booby trapped vehicle targeted a position of the regime forces resulted in the death of an officer with the rank of a lieutenant colonel and he is the commander of a Special Tasks Unit in the Internal Security in Homs, with other 5 members were with him, while the regime forces is continuing their failure to regain the control of Al-Qaryatayn city which the “Islamic State” organization managed to control after a surprising infiltration, enabled it to take the control of the village as well as hills and heights in its vicinity, in the 1st of October 2017, and the SOHR also published hours ago that, the regime forces managed to advance again and take the control of a hill that they lost earlier for the organization.
