The regime forces advance in a hill in the vicinity of Al-Qaryatayn and about 10 casualties and wounded of their members by an explosion of a booby trapped vehicle in the outskirts of the area

Homs Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces are continuing their attacks on the south-eastern desert of Homs, in an attempt to recover the areas they lost on end the presence of the “Islamic State” organization in the area, which managed to take the control of Al-Qaryatayn city in the beginning of this month, after a surprising infiltration carried out by the organization in Al-Qaryatayn city and its vicinity, enabled it to take the control of the village as well as hills in its vicinity, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored clashes between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in the vicinity of the city and the surrounding hills, and other areas in the outskirts of the city, in which the regime forces managed to advance again and take the control of a hill they lost before for the organization, while a violent explosion rocked Al-Qaryatayn city, caused by an explosion of a booby trapped vehicle carried out by the organization, it targeted a position of the regime forces, which resulted in the death and the injury of about 10 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human published hours ago, that violent clashes took place on the administrative border between the countryside of Deir Ezzor and the northeastern countryside of Homs near the Syrian-Iraqi border, after a violent attack by the “Islamic State” organization on Hmimeh area, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the violent clashes continued since the dawn of today until the afternoon of Friday today, the 20th of October 2017, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that in the violent attack tens of members of the regime forces were killed and injured,  where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 14 members most of them were of non-Syrian nationalities, in addition to the injury  of 18 others with varying severity, also the organization managed to seize weapons and ammunition, and information about the withdrawal of members of the organization of the area which was controlled by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities.
