Undeclared negotiations between the Russian Forces and Kurdish Forces, leading sources tell the Observatory: no agreement reached

Leading sources in YPG confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that no agreement was reached between the Kurdish Forces and the Russian Forces about items related to deploying the Russian forces in their controlled areas and the areas controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces in the northern countryside of Aleppo and in Afrin area, and about working to open roads through Afrin to connect the northern countryside of Aleppo with the western countryside of Aleppo and Idlib Province, also reliable sources from Tal Rifaat confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the negotiations continued with the Russians, confirming that no agreement of any kind had been reached yet with the Russian Forces and their representatives.

The Russian helicopters had landed in area near Menagh airbase on Friday the 20th of October, where sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the helicopters landed to inspect groups of Russian Force in the area on the contact lines with the areas controlled by the factions, and back then SOHR received information that Russian-Turkish attempts were taking place to create a de-escalation zone between the factions’ controlled area and YPG’s controlled areas, of which the Syria Democratic Forces is its mainstay.
