The regime forces continue to snatch areas from ISIS in the east of Deir Ezzor and seek to take the control of Al-Asharah under a cover of intensive shelling

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the violent clashes are still continuing in the eastern countryside between the members of the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in areas on the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, in which the violent clashes are concentrated in Jadeed Ekaydat area, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces managed to achieve new and important advancement in the area, and they took the control of Jadeed Ekaydat village which used to be controlled by the organization, to achieve further advancement to the east adjacent the advancement which the regime forces achieved few days ago on the western banks of the Euphrates River which is extended from Deir Ezzor to Al-Asharah area, and they advanced and became at a distance of less than 11 km away from Al-Busayrah township, and the regime forces managed this morning to hold their control in Tabyat Jazeera village, coming from Khesham town, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them managed to impose their full control on Tabyat Jazeera village, thus, they secured greatly their forces exist at the outskirts of the gas field and factory of Koniko which is the biggest gas field in Syria, while the regime forces are seeking to continue their advancement to the east as a part of their efforts to secure their forces exist on the western banks of the Euphrates River, by trying to take the control of the entire eastern banks of the Euphrates River from the side opposite Deir Ezzor city to the banks opposite Al-Asharah township.

On the other hand, the violent clashes are continuing between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in areas in Al-Asharah township on the western banks of the Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Al-Mayadin, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces are trying to take the control of Al-Asharah township, after they managed to penetrate the town which is one of the biggest remaining strongholds under ISIS control, while the clashes between the both parties coincide with exchange of intensive shelling, and bombardment by the Russian warplanes as well as regime’s warplanes on the controlled areas of the organization and its positions, and information about casualties in the ranks of the both parties.
