More casualties including a commander in the Tiger Groups raise the death toll to 33
Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Explosions shook several places in Bokamal areas, they were caused by the renewed airstrikes by warplanes whose identity was not known if they were Russian or if they belong to the International Coalition, they targeted areas in Bokamal city and its surroundings which caused material damage, but no information about casualties, the clashes also continue at a violent pace between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against members of the “Islamic State” organization in the neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city, with the continuous attempts by the regime forces to achieve more advancement in the city and control what is left of it under the control of the organization, and the clashes were accompanied by intense and heavy shelling and raid by warplane on areas controlled by the organization, which caused casualties in the ranks of both parties, while the clashes continue in the vicinity of Tabiyah Jazeerah area at the outskirts of Jdaydet Ekydat town, of which by the regime forces has lost in the last 24 hours, as a result of counterattack by the organization, in conjunction with the continuation of clashes between both parties in the vicinity of Al-Quriyah area in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented more casualties in the ranks of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, where at least 6 members were killed including a commander of a storming group of Tiger Groups, which are led by the Brigadier General in the ranks of the regime forces Suhail Hassan, raising to 33 at least, the number members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them who were killed since more than 48 hours ago, including at least 14 Lebanese, Arab and Asian nationalities, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on Saturday the 22nd of October 2017 that the regime forces assigned Brigadier Suhail Al-Hassan, known as the “Tiger”, who leads the military operations in the province of Deir Ezzor, to completely control the whole city of Deir Ezzor, which the regime forces reduced the areas controlled by ISIS.
And the regime forces managed in the 17th of October 2017, to achieve further advancement inside Deir Ezzor city, and they controlled the neighborhoods of Al-Kanamat, Al-Khasarat, Old airport, half of Hawija Katea, with a cover of heavy and violent shelling, while the regime forces are continuing their attack on other areas after the last control, in which the regime forces approach to end the presence of the organization from Deir Ezzor city after they imposed a full siege on the controlled areas of ISIS in the city from the four sides, and with this advancement, the regime forces minimized ISIS scope of control, in Deir Ezzor city, and they control 92.3% of the total area of Deir Ezzor city.
