Continues violent clashes in Deir Ezzor city and airstrikes target the last city for the “Islamic State” organization in Syria
Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Warplanes carried out more airstrikes on places in the countryside of Bokamal in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, also the regime forces continue their rocket shelling on places that still under the control of the “Islamic State” organization in Deir Ezzor city, amid hearing the sound of explosions in the city but no information until the moment about casualties, in conjunction with the continuation of clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against members of the “Islamic State” organization in areas in Deir Ezzor city, after re-controlling Hwyjet Sakr by the regime forces, and the Syrian Observatory published hours ago that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces achieved a new advancement in the area, and re-controlled the whole town of Hwyjet Sakr, after losing sites and points in the area during the past few days, as a result of the violent and sudden counterattacks by members of the “Islamic State” organization, which left casualties in the ranks of both parties.
This advancement in Hwyjet Sakr comes in conjunction with violent clashes between both parties, which are still taking place in the contact areas in the rest of Deir Ezzor city’s neighborhoods, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces were able to advance in points and locations of the organization within the neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city, of which the regime forces had lost in the organization’s counterattacks on areas in Deir Ezzor city, where the “Islamic State” is in control of only about 7% of the city’ area, and the clashes are accompanied by heavy and intense shelling by both parties, which caused more deaths in their ranks.
