The regime forces continue their violent attack on Hama countryside and increase their scope of control at the expense of Tahrir Al-Sham by recovering more areas
Hama Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the fighting is continuing at a violent pace in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, as a result of the continuous attacks between the parties there, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of the violent clashes, between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against the fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, in areas in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, and the clashes are concentrated in Kharbat Jiway’ed which the regime forces managed during the last night to control, thus, they have increased their scope of control, and minimized Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham scope of control in this area, and the north-eastern countryside of Hama witnessed during the past 24 hours that the regime forces managed to advance and take the control of several residential communities and farms in this countryside, in which cross-sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the “Islamic State” organization withdrew from these farms and residential communities after it had taken the control of them, in which the withdrawal took place during carrying out its attacks on the controlled areas of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham.
This violent fighting was accompanied during the last light by intensive and violent shelling by the regime forces, amid exchange of targeting between them and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in the clash areas, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented yesterday, the death of more than 12 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, while 9 fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham were killed, amid confirmed information about more casualties in the ranks of the both parties, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday, that warplanes almost don’t leave the northeastern countryside of Hama, continuing to carry out intense airstrikes since midnight of yesterday until the moment, where they raised to at least 46, the number of airstrikes that targeted places in the villages of al-Rahjan, Mrijeb, al-Jamalan, al-Shakusiyyah, Abu Laffah and Sarha, and villages in Hamra township and other areas under the control of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in the area, causing casualties among its members, and the intensive aerial bombardment is accompanied by renewed exchange of targeting between Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham against the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them at the contact lines between both parties in the northeastern countryside, raising the number of raids that targeted the northeastern countryside of Hama to about 260 in 4 consecutive days, which caused great damage to the infrastructure and more damage to the property of citizens.
And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 9th of October 2017, that the “Islamic State” organization crossed by vehicles with medium and heavy weapons and reached areas controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, where the organization started attacking areas controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and managed to advance quickly and abruptly, and took control of about 15 villages, followed by a violent counterattack by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in which it regained to re-control about 5 villages, while Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham brought military reinforcements of members and vehicles, in order to continue the attack and recover the entire lost areas as well as arresting the organization’s members who carried out the attack, and information about casualties in the ranks of both parties as a result of these clashes, which were accompanied by exchange of shelling, also SOHR received information about capturing members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham by the organized during its control of a village, and information about carrying out executions by the organization against prisoners of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, where the sources confirmed that the “Islamic State” Organization has reneged the agreement between it and between Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham earlier, and that their families of children, women, young men and non-fighter men will be entered to the areas controlled by the factions, and that members of organization are prevented from entering, and any member or fighter of the organization who may enter will be either captured or killed.
