 The regime forces escalate their attack and intensify their shelling and advance to become at 40 km away from Al-Bokamal city and ISIS fights desperately to repel the attack

Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the pace of the fighting increases, with the escalation of the attacks by the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian, Lebanese, Arab and Asian nationalities, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of the violent fighting between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in which the fighting is concentrated in main areas, the first is the south-west of Al-Bokamal, where ISIS is continuing to fight desperately to repel the attack of the regime forces and their advancement towards Al-Bokamal city, which is the last city under the control of the organization in Syria, and which is located on the Syrian – Iraqi border.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces managed to achieve new advancement in the area, and became at a distance of about 40 km to the south-west of the border city of Al-Bokamal, and this advancement came after the regime forces managed to hold their control on the Second Station ((T 2)) which is near the administrative border between Deir Ezzor and Homs, while the violent fighting between the organization and the regime forces is accompanied by intensive shelling by artillery, mortar and tanks shells on the clash areas and the sites and the positions of the organization, as well as raids by warplanes on the clash areas and the positions of the organization, and other areas in Al-Bokamal area.

While the second area of fighting, is the western banks of the Euphrates River, where the fighting is concentrated in the vicinity of Al-Quriyah town which is controlled by the regime forces and in the area between it and Al-Asharah Township, in the western countryside of Al-Bokamal, within the eastern section of Deir Ezzor province, amid intensive shelling by the regime forces on the clash area, in an attempt to achieve further advancement and clamp down on the organization by taking the control of Al-Asharah Township which will enable them to approach more Al-Bokamal city from the Euphrates River area.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on the Thursday 26th of October 2017, that the violent fighting is still continuing between the members of the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces managed to achieve strategic advancement in the area which is located in the south-western countryside of Al-Bokamal, where they managed to take the control of the Second Station ((T 2)), which is near the administrative border between Deir Ezzor and Homs provinces, after violent and successive attacks by the regime forces on the area, as well as intensive and violent shelling by the regime forces, and continuous raids by the Russian warplanes as well as regime’s warplanes, which caused more human losses in the ranks of the both parties, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday, that The fighting almost does not calm down in Deir Ezzor province, from an attack to another and from a winning battle to a counter attack disturbs the joy of the victory, thus, the battle turned from Deir Ezzor and its countryside to Al-Bokamal, which is the last city controlled by the “Islamic State” organization in Syria, and it also documented a withdrawal of the regime forces from Al-Asharah Township to Al-Quriyah town, after a counter attack by the organization, which exploited the bad weather in the area, and forces the regime forces to withdraw from Al-Asharah and from areas in Al-Quriyah town, where the organization carried out surprising attack that managed it to achieve this advancement, and the attack accompanied intensive shelling and targeting and violent explosions rocked the area, while this fighting accompanied by violent ongoing fighting in the vicinity of the Second Station (T 2) in the south-western countryside of Al-Bokamal, where the regime forces are trying to achieve simultaneous advancement by taking the control of T 2 Station, and by advancing and taking the control of Al-Asharah Township, this advancement will enable the regime forces to reach Al-Bokamal city, which they are trying to reach and take the control of it, to complete their control over the entire western bank of the Euphrates River from the border of Al-Raqqah to Iraqi border, then they end its presence in the entire section in the west of the Euphrates River to the border of Homs, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 33 members at least of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, including 14 members of Lebanese, Arab and Asian nationalities, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 42 members at least of the “Islamic State” organization, while tens of member in the ranks of the both parties were injured with varying degrees of severity, while the number of casualties in the ranks of the both parties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries.
