ISIS desperately carries out counterattacks to keep the regime forces away of Bokamal and the regime forces advance in Deir Ezzor city
Deir Ezzor Province is witnessing the continuation of military operations in which the “Islamic State” organization is desperately blocking regime forces’ attacks; by carrying out counterattacks targeting the sites of which the regime forces have recently advanced to, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the violent clashes are taking place in areas near the Second Station in the southwestern countryside of Bokamal city in its eastern section, between the regime forces supported by gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against members of the “Islamic State” organization, as a result of violent counterattacks carried out violently by the organization accompanied by heavy and intense shelling by the regime forces on ISIS-controlled areas and positions in the southwestern desert of Bokamal, amid explosions that shook the area caused by the shelling and detonation by members of the organization for themselves using explosive belts targeting positions and points of the regime forces, and confirmed information about casualties in the ranks of both parties.
This violent fight in the southwestern desert of Bokamal was accompanied by a continuous clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the “Islamic State” organization, in places in the area between Quriyah and al-Asharah Township on the west banks of the Euphrates River in the western countryside of Bokamal, and the clashes in the area took place in conjunction with exchange of shelling and targeting between both parties, which left confirmed casualties in their ranks.
In Deir Ezzor city the violent clashes continue between both parties, where the regime forces are seeking to control the areas which are still under the control of the “Islamic State” organization in the city which is controlled mostly by the regime forces, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces supported by their loyal gunmen have managed to achieve new advancement in several areas, and they were able to re-control sites they have lost in the past few days during counterattacks by the “Islamic State” organization on areas in the city, and the clashes were accompanied during the past 24 hours with the launching tens of artillery and rocket shells and shelled by the regime forces on areas controlled by the organization and on areas fighting areas, and information about more casualties in the ranks of both parties.
