The violent fighting of Al-Bokamal enters its sixth consecutive day and leaves 120 casualties at least of ISIS and the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them

Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Al-Bokamal Battle entered its sixth consecutive day, with continuous fighting and clashes of hit-and-run, and counter attacks between the members of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian, Arab and Asian nationalities, in which the regime forces are carrying out violent attacks under a cover of intensive shelling, in order to reach Al-Bokamal city, which is the last city under the control of the organization in the Syrian territory,  in which they concentrate their attacks on two main areas, they are the Second Station in the south-western desert of Al-Bokamal, and Al-Quriyah – Al-Asharah area on the western banks of the Euphrates River, while the organization also escalated its operations during the past hours and carried out counter attacks enabled it to force the regime forces to withdraw in the area of the Second Station and managed to recover areas of Al-Quriyah town in the western countryside of Al-Bokamal.

These violent clashes that accompanied by explosions of booby trapped vehicles and explosive belts, artillery and rocket shelling and raids by the Russian warplanes as well as regime’s warplanes, resulted in the fall of a great number of casualties in the ranks of the both parties, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the increase of the number of the casualties in the ranks of the both parties, in which the number of the casualties of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, has increased to 51 members, including 19 members at least of non-Syrian nationalities, while the number of the casualties of the “Islamic State” organization, has increased to 69 members at least, of who were killed in the shelling, clashes and raids since the 23rd of October 2017, until today the 28th of October 2017, while the violent clashes between the both parties left injuries, some of them are still in serious cases, which may raise the death toll.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published of the 26th of October 2017, that the regime forces managed to achieve strategic advancement in the area which is located in the south-western countryside of Al-Bokamal, where they managed to take the control of the Second Station ((T 2)), which is near the administrative border between Deir Ezzor and Homs provinces, after violent and successive attacks by the regime forces on the area, as well as intensive and violent shelling by the regime forces, and continuous raids by the Russian warplanes as well as regime’s warplanes, which caused more human losses in the ranks of the both parties.
