The violent fighting continues in Deir Ezzor city and its countryside under a cover of strikes by the regime’s and the Russian warplanes

Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the fronts of Deir Ezzor city and the eastern banks, is witnessing the continuation of the violent fighting as well as intensive shelling on the clash areas, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, the continuation of shelling by the Russian warplanes to areas in Jadeed Ekaydat village which the regime forces lost on the 24th of October 2017, amid the continuation of clashes between the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in the vicinity of Tabyat Jazeera village which is controlled by the regime forces.

While the front of Deir Ezzor city, is witnessing fierce fighting, between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the “Islamic State” organization, and the violent clashes are concentrated in the neighborhoods of Al-Rashdiyah, Al-Hwiqa and Al-Jabilah, where the regime forces are trying by carrying out attack in the eastern and western sections of Deir Ezzor city, to advance and besiege the organization, by clamping down on it and forcing it to retreat to the city center, and the city has witnessed since this morning, tens of strikes that was carried out by the Russian as well as the regime’s warplanes and helicopters by missiles, bombs and explosive barrels, which caused more destruction to the infrastructure, and the fall of more casualties in the ranks of the both parties.
