More than 35 thousand citizens displace from their villages in the north-east of Hama as a result of hundreds of air and rocket strikes and the fighting in its fronts continues
Hama Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the fighting is continuing between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, in areas in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, for the 7th consecutive day, since the clashes started in the 24th of October 2017, during which the regime forces managed to take the control of the villages of Al-Shahatiyyah, Joway’ed and Jib Abyad, as well as attacks during which they failed either to advance or keep and hold their control on the positions where they advanced in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, thus, these violent clashes cause a large number of human losses in the ranks of the both parties, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of about 90 members of the both parties of who were killed within a week of clashes, shelling and explosions, including about 35 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them.
And with concentrating the clashes during the past 48 hours in the vicinity of the villages Al-Mshirfah, Khafiyeh, Abu Dali and Abu Laffah, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of intensive shelling by the regime forces and the warplanes, in which the number of strikes that were carried out by the warplanes on areas in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, has increased to more than 415 strikes, in which the strikes hit the villages of Al-Rahjan, Al-Shatib, Arafa, Tell Khanzir, al-Shakuziyyeh, Qasr Ibn Wardan, Jib Al-Sokkar, Abu Dali, Umm Turaykiyah, Al-Mshirfah, Al-Dafriyyah, Qasr Shawy, Al-Khalidiya, Rabda, Eib Al-Khaznah, Mweileh, Hawayiz, Al-Rweideh, Al-Hamdania, Haymaniyah, Zughayr and other residential communities and position controlled by Tahrir Al-Sham, and the raids that started in an escalated way on the 22nd of October 2017, 48 hours before the start of the ground attack, with the fighting which areas in the same countryside witnessed between the “Islamic State” organization against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, as well as the exchange of shelling between them, resulted in wide displacement in the areas and the villages mentioned above, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented that more than 35 thousand citizens displaced from the villages of the north-eastern countryside of Hama, and headed to areas far from the clashes and to areas in the countryside of Idlib province, where some of the citizens left with all of their properties, while others escaped to survive without taking their properties, and these areas became almost free of their inhabitants, while reliable sources confirmed that some villages that are still controlled by the “Islamic State” organization, contain large numbers of citizens of their inhabitants, who were prevented to leave by the organization.
And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday, that it has documented during the period from the 9th of October 2017, the date of the entry of ISIS the controlled areas of Tahrir Al-Sham, until today the 29th of October 2017, the death of 300 members of the ranks of the both parties of who were killed in the military operations between the both parties in the north-eastern countryside, in which 214 members at least of ISIS including several commanders were killed, while more than 89 members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham including commanders were killed, and all of them were killed during the period mentioned above, in the clashes and exchange of selling and the explosions.
It is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 9th of October 2017, that the “Islamic State” organization crossed by vehicles with medium and heavy weapons and reached areas controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, where the organization started attacking areas controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and managed to advance quickly and abruptly, and took control of about 15 villages, followed by a violent counterattack by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in which it regained to re-control about 5 villages, while Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham brought military reinforcements of members and vehicles, in order to continue the attack and recover the entire lost areas as well as arresting the organization’s members who carried out the attack, and information about casualties in the ranks of both parties as a result of these clashes, which were accompanied by exchange of shelling, also SOHR received information about capturing members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham by the organized during its control of a village, and information about carrying out executions by the organization against prisoners of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, where the sources confirmed that the “Islamic State” Organization has reneged the agreement between it and between Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham earlier, and that their families of children, women, young men and non-fighter men will be entered to the areas controlled by the factions, and that members of organization are prevented from entering, and any member or fighter of the organization who may enter will be either captured or killed.
