Calm is back to the fronts of the northeastern countryside of Hama after violent clashes and counterattacks

Hama Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: areas in the town of Kafr Zita and its outskirts were shelled by the regime forces, preceded by artillery shelling by the regime forces targeting areas al-Lataminah town in the same countryside, where the artillery shelling caused material damage but no information about human losses, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also learned that the calm has returned to the fronts of the northern countryside of Hama this evening, which were on fire over the last 24 hours as a result of the violent attacks between the regime forces supported by their loyal gunmen against fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the rebel factions, in areas in the vicinity of the villages of Abu Laffah, Suha, Tal Khazim and south of Abu Dali, and the last few hours witnessed violent clashes that caused casualties, where members of the regime forces were killed in addition to at least 15 fighters of rebel factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the return of relative calmness during the last night to the north-eastern countryside of Hama, following violent clashes between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against the fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, in which the clashes concentrated in Mrayjib Al-Jamalan village which were attacked by the factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in order to regain the control on it, and they advanced in large parts of the village, but the intensive shelling by the regime forces prevented them to hold their control over the village, where the factions were forced to withdraw, after the fall of a large number of casualties in the ranks of the both parties as a result of the exchange of targeting, the shelling and the clashes, in which 6 fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions were killed while a number of the members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them were killed.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday, that the regime forces managed to achieve new advancement and they took the control of Al-Mushrifah and Mrayjib Al-Jamalan villages in the area, and confirmed information about casualties in the ranks of the both parties, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published this morning, that the hit-and-run clashes are continuing between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions, in areas in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, where the regime forces carried out a counter attack after the midnight of Monday – Tuesday, on positions of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in Talat Al-Syriatel and Al-Zafiriyyah, which Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham controlled yesterday, accompanied by bombardment and intensive shelling, by the regime forces, on the same areas, resulted in advancing the regime forces in several points in the area, while Mrayjib Al-Jamalan village which the regime forces advanced in , in the same countryside, witnessed exchange of shelling between the both parties, amid violent clashes took place between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions, in Mrayjib Al-Jamalan and Abu Laffah, in an attempt by each party to advance at the expense of the other, while the warplanes carried out several raids on areas in Al-Rahjan and its vicinity in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, It is noteworthy that these ongoing clashes in the north-eastern countryside resulted in the displacement of more than 35 thousand citizens from their villages, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 30 of October 2017, that the fighting is continuing between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, in areas in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, for the 7th consecutive day, since the clashes started on the 24th of October 2017, during which the regime forces managed to take the control of the villages of Al-Shahatiyyah, Joway’ed and Jib Abyad, as well as attacks during which they failed either to advance or to keep and hold their control on the positions where they advanced, in the north-eastern countryside of Hama, thus, these violent clashes cause a large number of human losses in the ranks of the both parties, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of about 90 members of the both parties of who were killed within a week of clashes, shelling and explosions, including about 35 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them.
