A Tunisian fighter of about 10 fighters of the factions were killed in the battle of lifting the siege imposed on the south-west of Rif Dimashq

The calm returns to the border with the occupied Syrian Golan after the factions failed to maintain the corridor they opened between Rif Dimashq and Al-Quneitra countryside

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that cautious calm has been prevailing the fighting fronts of the northern countryside of Al-Quneitra and the south-west of Rif Dimashq since yesterday evening, after the violent clashes which started yesterday morning the 3rd of November 2017, between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions, followed a violent attack that carried out by the later, started by detonating one booby trapped vehicles at least, during which they – Tahrir Al-Sham and the factions – managed to take the control of Tal Al-Harra and Kurs Al-Nafl as well as areas extended between them in the north, the west and the south-west of Hodr town, before the regime forces re-took the control of all what they lost by counter attack.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented more casualties in the ranks of the both parties by the shelling, the clashes and the explosion of the booby trapped vehicle, in which the number of the casualties of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, has increased to 18 members at least, while the number of the number of the fighters of the factions who were killed during the shelling and the clashes, has increased to 9 members including a military commander of Tahrir Al-Sham, a military Commander of Ahrar Al-sham as well as a Tunisian member of the factions.

It is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that the clashes continues between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions near border with the occupied Syrian Golan, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the fighting and the intense shelling enabled the regime forces to restore the areas they lost when the factions managed to achieve an advancement in the area, and opened a corridor links the besieged southwest of Rif Dimashq to the northern countryside of Quneitra through, by controlling the area between al-Tlul al-Homr and Tal al Hamriya, where the factions advanced and controlled Tal al-Harrah, Qers al-Naql and the areas between them in the north, west and southwest of Hodr town, before the regime forces regain control of this whole area and re-besieged the southwest of Rif Dimashq, the last area where factions are located on the Syrian-Lebanese border, which is the areas where rebel fighters are present on the Syrian – Lebanese border, which has been witnessing in the past few weeks hundreds barrel bombs dropped by regime’s helicopters, along with the fall of tens of shells and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from intersecting sources that these violent clashes that took place since the morning of Friday the 3rd of November 2017; have caused significant casualties in the ranks of both parties, while Hodr town has witnessed the arrival of military reinforcements of the gunmen Loyal to the regime and other supporter gunmen coming from the outskirts of the capital Damascus, while the Syrian Observatory documented during these violent clashes the death of more than 17 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, and the injury of about 50 people in the shelling, explosions and clashes in Hodr town and its vicinity, as well as the southwest of Rif Dimashq and northern countryside of Quneitra, while at least 7 fighters of the factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham including a local leader of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham were killed, others were also seriously injured during these clashes, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored demonstrations by Syrians citizens in the occupied Syrian Golan on the contact lines between the occupied Syrian Golan and the liberated Syrian Golan, where the local sources confirmed that citizens crossed from the occupied Golan to the first line, but the positioned forces at the border prevented them from advancing more towards the liberated Syrian Golan.
